Court and Regional Council
The designed complex, which includes the building of the Court of Appeal and the building of the institutions of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, complements the existing premise of the Supreme Court, fitting into its architectural narrative.
Designed by Professor Marek Budzyński, the Urban Planning Complex of the Judiciary at Krasiński Square is a well recognizable space with a strong architectural identity. Its surroundings are also a special area of the city, where traces of history with its dramatic moments are present in the space of everyday life of the inhabitants of modern Warsaw.
The new buildings reflect the values represented by public architecture — independence, impartiality, transparency and servility of state institutions to the citizen, while showing their seriousness and dignity.
Equally important to the appearance of the new buildings is the nature of the designed public spaces, which, in addition to their functional and representative role, also constitute a backdrop for elements of historical importance inscribed in the urban planning of the new complex.
