‘Plac zabaw’ is a multifunctional space located on the left bank of the Vistula river, between Średnicowy Bridge and Świętokrzyski Bridge.
The development plan of the area addresses a wide variety of users.
The plot is divided into four zones: recreational+workshop, dining, sports and leisure. These are visually interconnected, yet the space as a whole has distinctive boundaries. This was made possible by implementing a place identity system based on two elements – a grid of poles and triangular fabric roofing sheets.
Depending on their location, poles serve different purposes including structural, fencing and lighting, while some of them are used to hang hammocks or banners. Fabric roofing sheets are distributed accordingly to the function of the area.
